Cobalt International Energy has made a name for itself as a pioneer in the oil exploration industry. This facility will be able to produce up to 80.000 barrels of oil and 80 million cubic feet of gas per day. While the company is a non-operator, it does hold a nearly 10% working interest in this field.

The Anchor discovery near the Louisiana coast is projected to move forward later in 2015. The company owns approximately 20% non-operating working interest in the Anchor discovery unit. The company currently has active drilling activity in the North Platte #3 appraisal well and the Shenandoah #4 appraisal well. Cobalt is expecting to receive results from both wells by the end of 2015. As a young player to an industry full of giants, Cobalt has managed to assert itself and create a niche within the oil and gas industry.
